Wednesday Season 2 Will Be Split Into 2 Parts, New Trailer Reveals
Jenna Ortega is ready for another semester at Nevermore Academy.
After all, Wednesday Addams is finally back at the mystical boarding school with a new supernatural mystery in the latest teaser trailer for Wednesday season two, with the first part premiering Aug. 6 and the second Sept. 3.
However, it seems the teen took advantage of her time off, taking a trip ahead of the new semester in the April 23 trailer. Indeed, she makes a killer impression after setting off the alarm at airport security—thanks to Thing's oversized sunscreen bottle—forcing her to hand over her weapons, including brass knuckles, a medieval spiked ball flail, and a machete.
Nonetheless, Wednesday looks forward to her next few months at the academy alongside her roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers).
"This is the first time you've ever willingly returned to a school," Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) says to her daughter as the family drops her off. "How does it feel?"
Donning her all-black uniform, Wednesday replies, "Like returning to the scene of a crime—I already know where the bodies are buried."
But it won't be smooth sailing as she'll also have to face old foes like her institutionalized ex Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), who was the Hyde behind the season one killings. Filled with creepy dolls, a spooky carnival and a new bone-chilling mystery to solve, the upcoming installment of Wednesday is sure to leave viewers feeling especially uneasy.
As Wednesday put it, "Wherever there's murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams."
With the sheer amount of chaos brought on this season, it's no surprise that her grandmother Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley) is ready to join in the ooky spooky fun. But with her appearance comes an unraveling of their family's real story.
"Every family has dark secrets," Morticia says, "and secrets can have deadly consequences."
Not to worry, however, because as Wednesday tells her mom, "I do my best work in the dark."
Fan favorites like Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) are returning to the series. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, Steve Buschemi and Billie Piper are making their debut.

As for what fans can expect in season two?
"Season one really focused on Wednesday, but you met the other characters but didn't get to know them," show co-creator Alfred Gough told Tudum in an interview published April 23. "Now we get to expand their storylines and expand the scope and breadth of the show."
Meanwhile, Jenna, 22, revealed told E! News last month that "everything is very graphic."
"Some of the footage that we shot in Wednesday season two, especially in the last episode, is some of my favorite footage from the show," she continued. "Which is very exciting for me."
As we await Wednesday season two, read on to see when our favorite shows are set to premiere.
